Coviello is a family run restaurant and wine bar bringing authentic Italian food, coffee and fine wines to the middle of Durham. Everything is home cooked, the meat is sliced fresh to order, and the wine list is chosen by people who drink it.
Come for an espresso in the morning, a plate of pasta at lunch, or a bottle and a tagliere that stretches into the evening. The door is open from ten.

Wine tasting evenings
Once a month we set the room for tasting. A guided flight, a board to go with it, and someone at the front who can tell you why the Aglianico from Campania tastes of cinnamon and cloves.
It's a good way to find a bottle you'd never have picked off a shelf. Dates go out on Instagram and Facebook first — they tend to fill.
